lamborghini history

Ferruccio Lamborghini, after the success of the construction of tractors and after a famous argument with Enzo Ferrari for the quality of their cars, began to build cars with the sole purpose of surpassing the mark of the Prancing Horse. In 1961 in the town of Saint Agata Bolognese, near the home of Ferrari and Maserati, opened its doors Automobili Lamborghini. The first car, whose emblem was a bull due to the zodiacal sign of the owner, was the 350 GTV. Exhibited at the Turin Salon in 1963 causing great interest but little future. That would be the constant of the mark, to survive first. Ferrucio built in 1964 thirteen of its new 350 GT; of this model were derived from the 400 GT (1965) and Miura (1966), thundering that competed directly with the Ferrari Daytona. The economic problems of the factory had undermined the forces of Ferruccio Lamborghini, who instead of finding help, the saw with messes caused by their own competitors. Thus, in 1970 Lamborghini sold his brand to take refuge in the vineyards until the day of his death in 1993. But the situation changed. In 1978, the situation was so critical that only 16 cars left the production line. Before the home Lamborghini was absorbed by Chrysler, was for many the car the most spectacular in its history, the Countach (1971). It was the fastest car at the time, with aggressive lines and a feeling of sitting in an airplane than a car. There were many years when the model was in place and is now a coveted collector's item. The replacement the Countach was another exquisite name Diablo, corrected and improved version of its predecessor, capable of competing with the legendary Ferrari F40. That was the 90's Lamborghini. The current owner of Lamborghini is a mega Korean consortium, which also owns Kia. During this new stage, out the last jewel of the house: the MurciƩlago, Diablo and natural successor to the F60 competitor, Bugatti EB 16-4, W12 Volkswagen, Porsche GT2, and the rest of supercars worthy of the most ardent dreamer.
